Amid a sudden crash in the virtual assets (cryptocurrency) market, a well-known Ukrainian virtual assets entrepreneur was found dead.
On the 14th, according to Ukrainian news agency UNIAN, Konstantin Galich (known as 'Kostya Kudo'), a prominent figure in Ukraine's virtual assets industry, was found dead on the 12th with a gunshot wound to the head inside a Lamborghini in the Obolonskyi district of Kyiv. A pistol registered in Galich's name was reportedly found at the scene.
Local police have not ruled out homicide. However, they announced that Galich had recently complained of depression due to financial difficulties and had sent 'farewell messages' to his family the day before the incident.
A post on his Telegram read, "Konstantin Kudo has tragically passed away. The cause of death is under investigation and we will provide further updates."
Local media pointed to the collapse in virtual assets as the trigger. On the 11th, U.S. President Donald Trump announced plans to impose tariffs of up to 100% on Chinese-made goods, causing most virtual assets to plummet.
UNIAN, citing an anonymous source, reported that Galich suffered tens of millions of dollars in losses from the coin price crash, and that investor funds he managed lost 30 million dollars (about 42 billion won).
