The United States' largest investment bank, JP Morgan Chase (hereinafter JP Morgan), abruptly announced a policy to expand industrial financing, and there are opinions that this could have positive effects for Bitcoin (BTC) as well.

On the 14th (Korean time), BitMEX founder Arthur Hayes wrote on his X (formerly Twitter), 'Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan, sent a signal to the financial industry of an expansion of dollar supply to the industrial sector,' and argued, 'This is effectively quantitative easing to support American industry (QE 4 Poor People), and the expansion of dollar supply will lead to a rise in Bitcoin's price.'

Earlier that day, JP Morgan announced the 'Security and Resilience Initiative, a $1.5 trillion plan to strengthen core industries.' It is a 10-year, $1.5 trillion funding and financial support plan for industries at the core of U.S. economic security, from critical minerals to advanced technologies. As part of this plan, JP Morgan will also make direct equity and venture capital investments of up to $10 billion, mainly by selecting U.S. companies to support growth, promote innovation, and strengthen strategic manufacturing capabilities.

CEO Jamie Dimon explained the purpose of the initiative, saying, 'It has become painfully clear that the United States has become overly dependent on unreliable sources (China) for key minerals, products, and manufacturing sectors essential to national security,' and 'Our (America's) security depends on the strength and resilience of the U.S. economy.'

Blockchain was not directly included among JP Morgan's investment targets. JP Morgan presented four core target areas for investment: △ supply chains and advanced manufacturing, including critical minerals and robotics; △ defense and aerospace, including defense technologies, autonomous driving systems, drones, and secure communications; △ energy, including battery storage and grid resilience; △ advanced and strategic technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and quantum computing.
