On the 16th (local time), Cointelegraph reported that whales holding 10~10,000 BTC, which account for about 68.7% of the total Bitcoin supply, recently sold 17,554 BTC.
However, year-to-date cumulative holdings are still on the rise. These whale wallets have been found to have accumulated an additional 318,610 BTC since the start of 2025.
