Solana (SOL) co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko questioned Ethereum (ETH) Layer 2 networks. He questioned whether Ethereum's security and decentralization are preserved in Layer 2.
On the 27th (Korean time), according to cryptoasset (cryptocurrency) Cointelegraph, Yakovenko argued, "The claim that Layer 2 inherits Ethereum's security is wrong," and pointed out, "Layer 2 makes complete security audits impossible due to a large attack surface and complex code structures."
He said, in particular, "Layer 2 relies on multisig-based custody, so funds can be moved without user consent," and "It has been 5 years since Layer 2 appeared, but it still has not resolved its problems."
