US Court Orders BitMEX Parent Company to Pay $100 Million Fine for 'Banking Law Violation'
On the 15th (local time), according to the cryptocurrency specialist media Cointelegraph, a U.S. court has sentenced HDR Global Trading Limited, the parent company of the cryptocurrency derivatives exchange BitMEX, to two years of probation and a $100 million fine. Previously, BitMEX was indicted for violations such as the Bank Secrecy Act, and BitMEX founders Arthur Hayes and Benjamin Delo admitted to the violations and paid fines in 2022.
