Global sports and entertainment blockchain company Chiliz (CHZ) announced on the 12th that it will host the 'Hacking PARIS' hackathon world tour based on the Chiliz Chain.
The hackathon, which will be held from July 11 to 13 (local time in France), will take place at the 'Parc des Princes', the home stadium of 'Paris Saint-Germain FC (PSG)', marking the first time in the blockchain industry.
The total prize money for this competition is $150,000 (approximately 220 million KRW). The event will be divided into five categories. In the 'Fan Token Utility' category, which aims to enhance the engagement and loyalty of global sports fans, developers will compete for a total prize of $50,000. The 'Digital Goods and NFT' category will focus on developing solutions that create unique digital collectibles and experiences using NFT technology.
Additionally, there will be developments in technology that improve fan engagement experiences within stadiums through the integration of Web 3 and IoT (Internet of Things) technologies, as well as the establishment of blockchain-based decentralized governance and voting systems for sports club decisions. Lastly, a special award category will be prepared for developing solutions that allow fans to create and share football-related content to generate revenue.
This event focuses on creating decentralized applications (Dapps) that enhance fan interaction, ownership, and loyalty in line with Chiliz's corporate values. Participants are required to demonstrate a working prototype or MVP (Minimum Viable Product) showcasing practical use cases to enhance the football club experience based on integration with the Chiliz Chain.
'Hacking PARIS', currently recruiting participants through the Chiliz website, can register applications until July 1, with no participation fee required. Detailed information can be found on the Chiliz website.
Chiliz CEO Alexandre Dreyfus stated, "This hackathon will be the largest project of Chiliz by 2025," and requested the interest of many developers in this special opportunity to once again materialize the future of sports fan engagement culture.
