Ondo Finance (ONDO), a project engaged in the real-world asset (RWA) sector, projected that most financial products will shift from off-chain to on-chain in the coming years.
On the 12th (local time), Ian De Bode, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of Ondo Finance, stated at 'APEX 2025' in RebelsCity, Singapore, "People in emerging markets want to be able to move value 24/7, anytime, anywhere," and emphasized, "In just five years, the majority of financial transactions will be conducted on-chain, and in the future, people may use on-chain services without realizing it is based on blockchain technology."
He continued, "Within the next 12 months, tokenized stocks and ETFs will be launched, and corresponding on-chain brokerages and asset management services will be fully activated."
He also mentioned plans to expand the scope of tokenization. Ian, CSO, said, "Fifteen months ago, the U.S. Treasury market for tokenized assets was only $1.5 billion, but has grown fivefold in a short period, and now approaches a market size of $8 billion," and added, "Ondo will tokenize any asset with the liquidity investors seek. Tokenization is not the future—it is already happening."
Meanwhile, as reasons for the growth of tokenization and on-chain finance, he cited ▲ a digitally friendly regulatory environment and ▲ increased trust in public blockchains.
