Summary

  • Recently, the Bitcoin market has seen a decrease in buying from individual investors, while a small number of well-capitalized investors are absorbing the available supply.
  • Bitcoin is being reshaped as ETFs, corporate reserves, and institutions take market leadership, marking a structural difference from the past.
  • Wallet activity, liquidity flows, and reduced volatility are sending warning signals, and there is an outlook for a major breakout or plunge at an unexpected time.

It is now being observed that the individual buying momentum for Bitcoin (BTC) has recently halted. There are also analyses that the current market is being reorganized so that a small number of well-capitalized investors are absorbing the available Bitcoin supply.

On the 20th (local time), virtual asset (cryptocurrency) service provider Matrixport stated in a research report, "Bitcoin has now surpassed the price of a car, and new individual buying has weakened," adding, "Bitcoin is increasingly recognized as a store of value rather than a trading asset, and individual purchases are declining."

The report continued, "ETFs, corporate holdings, and institutional investors are now taking the initiative in the virtual asset market. This represents a fundamental shift from the era when miners or long-term holders dominated market flows."

Meanwhile, it was also analyzed that, aside from ETF capital inflows, Bitcoin’s price is stagnating around $105,000.

Matrixport also added, "Wallet activity, liquidity flows, and reduced volatility are warning signs that investors may be overlooking," and predicted, "There are strong selling forces behind the buying, increasing the risk of supply-demand imbalances." They further projected, "If this structure continues, there could be a sudden major breakout or plunge at an unexpected time."
