Lu Yin, Solana Foundation lead "Digital assets can solve capital market issues" [Eastpoint: Seoul 2025]
Summary
- Lu Yin, Solana Foundation APAC lead, said digital assets can solve the problems of the global capital markets where structural risks have accumulated.
- He stated that lowering investor entry barriers and reducing issuer burdens are key tasks of the internet capital market.
- Lu Yin said that through real-world asset tokenization (RWA) various assets such as stocks and real estate will be converted into digital assets.

"The global capital markets are reaching new highs day by day, but behind that structural risks are accumulating. These include U.S. debt, population declines in Korea and Japan, and so on. In such a crisis, digital assets can be a solution."
Lu Yin, Solana Foundation Asia·Pacific (APAC) lead, said this on the 22nd while participating in the global Web3 private conference 'Eastpoint: Seoul 2025' held at the Grand Hyatt Seoul in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
Lu Yin said, "Currently the capital market is reaching record highs, but conversely the gap with labor income is widening," adding, "Therefore, citizens should not be a society that depends on government subsidies, but should actually participate as investors to reduce the gap between labor income and capital income."
In this situation, Lu proposed the concept of the 'internet capital market' as a solution. An internet capital market means that all capital exists in a form that can be traded on the internet, and anyone can access this capital as long as they have internet. He pointed to "lowering investor entry barriers" and "reducing issuer burdens" as the core tasks of the internet capital market.
Lu said, "Unlisted companies like OpenAI have remained private for a long time," pointing out, "Ordinary investors miss investment opportunities." Furthermore, he said, "Even if an issuing company wants to go public (IPO), the process is very complicated, resulting in tens of millions of dollars of unnecessary costs," adding, "This is a barrier that prevents innovation."
Lu explained that such problems can be solved with digital assets like 'real-world asset tokenization (RWA)'. He said, "In the future not only stocks but also money markets and real estate will be converted into digital assets," and "On Solana (SOL), regulated stock trading and large-scale stablecoin payments are already taking place."
He continued, "The internet capital market is already underway," adding, "Solana will lead innovation in the capital markets through the blockchain network, Solana-dedicated mobile device Seeker, and so on."
