ITCEN Creder Discusses STO and RWA Markets at 'Eastpoint 2025' Event

Creder, an affiliate of IT company ITCEN, participated in the 'Eastpoint Seoul 2025' event held on the 22nd at the Grand Hyatt Seoul and discussed key issues in the real-world asset (RWA, Real-World Asset) and security token offering (STO, Security Token Offering) markets, the company said on the 23rd. The ITCEN Group is building a real-world asset tokenization platform through its subsidiary Creder.

Kim Young-sik, Head of Creder, participated as a panelist in a roundtable at the event on the theme 'Custody of Real-World Assets and Secondary Market Design: The Role of Custodians and Brokers in STO and RWA.' Kim discussed the topics together with Jo Seong-il, CEO of Korea Digital Asset Custody (KDAC); Sidney Powell, CEO of Maple Finance; and Felix Eigelshoven, DFNS APAC lead.

The roundtable focused intensively on key issues in the STO and RWA markets, including the need to separate the roles of custodians and brokers; the feasibility of regulatory compliance for secondary trading of tokenized real-world assets under Korean and global regulatory environments; and the establishment of an instant settlement (Atomic Settlement) system for security token trading.

Kim said, "It was a very meaningful time to be able to discuss important challenges in the STO and RWA markets with experts from the global market," and added, "Based on the insights gained from this discussion, Creder will work to provide safer and more reliable real-world asset tokenization solutions and further contribute to the growth of domestic and international STO and RWA markets."
