BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, has identified digital assets (cryptocurrencies) and tokenized assets as major themes in this year’s investment market.
According to CoinDesk, a digital-asset-focused media outlet, on the 21st (local time) BlackRock said in its "2026 Thematic Outlook" report that while artificial intelligence (AI) and energy infrastructure are drawing market attention, digital assets including Bitcoin remain an important investment theme.
The report explained that "digital assets are establishing themselves as a core theme driving markets, not a short-lived fad," adding that "the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) signals a shift in how investors access asset markets."
It also added that "as tokenization expands, opportunities to access a wide range of assets via blockchain will increase," and that "Ethereum (ETH), in particular, could be a potential beneficiary of tokenization growth."
