  • It said that the specific speed of virtual asset adoption and the market's perception may vary depending on the report's assumptions and moderating factors.

BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, said that the adoption of virtual assets (cryptocurrencies) such as Bitcoin (BTC) could accelerate in an environment of increasing U.S. fiscal and macro uncertainty. It also suggested that tokenization and stablecoins could function as infrastructure connecting traditional finance and the digital economy.

On the 3rd (local time), according to crypto asset-focused media CoinDesk, BlackRock said in its 2026 outlook report that, against a backdrop of widening vulnerability in the U.S. economy and expectations that federal government debt will exceed 38 trillion dollars, the adoption of virtual assets such as Bitcoin could further expand. 38 trillion dollars is approximately 55,801 trillion won.

BlackRock also emphasized an expanded role for tokenization and stablecoins in terms of market structure. The report envisaged that tokenization and stablecoins could become core infrastructure connecting traditional finance's payment, settlement, and asset management flows with the digital economy.

Meanwhile, the outlook is notable in that a large asset manager mentioned a path for virtual asset adoption at a time when the virtual asset market is responding sensitively to macro variables. However, it should also be considered that the market's perceived impact may vary depending on the report's specific assumptions and factors that moderate the pace.
