The American cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has obtained the MiCA license from the European Union (EU).
Cointelegraph announced on the 21st (local time) via its official X account that 'Gemini has obtained the MiCA license from the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA).' Cointelegraph also reported that '(Gemini) can now expand its cryptocurrency services to around 30 EU countries.'
Gemini is also pursuing a listing on the US Nasdaq. Recently, Gemini submitted an 'S-1' registration statement, required for a Nasdaq listing, to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Cantor Fitzgerald are serving as underwriters for Gemini's initial public offering (IPO).
