On the 5th (local time), on-chain data analysis platform CryptoQuant said, "Institutional investors' demand for Bitcoin (BTC) is weakening." According to CryptoQuant, corporate Bitcoin holdings in 2025 reached a record high of about 840,000, but the growth trend has sharply slowed. In particular, the monthly purchasing volume of representative Bitcoin investment firm MicroStrategy plunged from 134,000 BTC in November 2024 to 3,700 BTC in August 2025. CryptoQuant said, "Corporate-level Bitcoin holdings have reached an all-time high, but the noticeable decline in buying pressure shows that institutional demand is weakening," and analyzed, "Whether inflows from exchange-traded funds (ETFs) can reverse this trend in the future will be the key."
